what is pelvic organ prolapse (POP)?

Pelvic organ prolapse is when one, or more pelvic organs are descending down towards the vaginal opening or into the vaginal walls. This could be the bladder, bowel, or uterus. Women can also have a prolapse of the vaginal vault, intestines, rectum or urethra from their respective sphincters.

Childbirth is the most common cause of pelvic organ prolapse.

It is also often diagnosed around menopause due to the drop in collagen production, which is like a glue for our tissues.

Restoring proper function of the pelvic floor, core and glutes post partum is crucial in preventing prolapse. This should be done sooner rather than later, but it is never too late to start. I’ll say that again, it is never too late to start!

The good news for women with a prolapse, is that prolapse be improved with rehabilitative exercise programs in most cases. My programs are designed specifically for women with prolapse in mind. If you want to safely recover from your pregnancy and prevent prolapse, if you have a prolapse you would like to improve, or if you are somewhere in between – my programs are for you.

I have been able to completely reverse prolapse for myself, not once, but twice using the methods I will share with you in my programs. So I do understand what it is like to rehabilitate your body after pregnancy, and from prolapse with avulsions.
